A Baltimore food truck vendor got a surprise visit from a customer’s mother days after her son swiped money from his tip jar right in the middle of a live Twitch broadcast.
Muhsin Sarac, who runs the food truck and streams under the username Musa_usa, was working his grill when a guy walked up asking for a cheesesteak. Sarac told him he was on a livestream. While his back was turned, the customer reached into the tip jar, grabbed about $30, and made it look like he was pulling the cash from his own pocket. He said he was heading to his car for more money and took off without paying or coming back.
On the stream, Sarac asked his viewers if the man had just stolen the cash. He figured it was around $20 to $30 and called the police, who showed up and already knew the guy from before. The footage from the live stream spread online quickly.
Four days later, the thief’s mom pulled up to Sarac’s truck. She told him straight up that her son was the one who took the money and asked how much it was. When he said $30, she dug into her pockets and handed over the exact amount in cash. She explained that her son wasn’t raised to act like that, but he drinks and ends up doing dumb stuff when he’s had too much. She also said she had put him in treatment.
Sarac thanked her, accepted the money, and the two ended up hugging. The heartfelt moment played out live on his stream and has since blown up on social media with clips shared widely.
