It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Matthew Castellanos, who tragically lost his life in an accident in La Crosse, Indiana. Matthew was more than a hardworking professional—he was a devoted partner, a loving father, a loyal friend, and a man whose presence brought warmth and strength to those around him.
Matthew dedicated himself to his craft as a diesel technician and mechanic, building a career through determination, skill, and an unshakable work ethic. From his time at Kraft Auction Service to his roles with Jagad Truck Leasing, Trimac Transportation, ATS, Tazco Redi-Mix Concrete, SEI Solutions, and Rush Truck Centers, he consistently showed commitment and pride in everything he did. His hands built, repaired, and kept things moving—but more importantly, his heart held together the people who loved him.
Beyond his work, Matthew’s true joy was found in his family. He was a proud and loving father to Marley Lyn Castellanos, Jaxson Reese, and Ashlyn and a devoted fiancé to Ash Herma. His love for them was evident in every action, every sacrifice, and every moment he spent ensuring their happiness and well-being. He carried a protective spirit, always looking out for those he loved, always putting others before himself.
Matthew was known for his brotherly love and his big heart. He had a way of making people feel safe, valued, and understood. His strength was not just in his physical abilities but in his compassion, loyalty, and the deep care he showed to friends and family alike. He lived with passion—whether through his work, his love for racing, or simply the way he embraced life.
Though his time here was far too short, the impact Matthew made will never fade. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering devotion. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, in the laughter he shared, and in the love he gave so freely.
