Woman Lures Ex to ‘Hang Out,’ Then Kills Him and His Parents

On March 23, 2026, at approximately 2:00 a.m., deputies responded to a welfare check at a residence on the 3400 block of East Norway Trail in Crete Township, Illinois. Upon arrival, they discovered three adults deceased—one inside a vehicle in the driveway and two inside the home near the front door.
The victims were identified as 32-year-old Jacob Lambert, 54-year-old Stacy Forde, and 55-year-old Patrick Forde.
Investigators determined the incident was targeted and domestic in nature. Authorities identified 30-year-old Jenna Strouble as the suspect, who had an on-and-off relationship with Lambert and shares children with him.
On March 22, 2026, Strouble contacted Lambert and asked him to “hang out.” According to investigators, she later admitted she intended to harm him.
Authorities say the two met along a roadway, where Strouble offered Lambert a back massage. While he was lying face down, she retrieved a firearm and shot him in the back of the head.
Investigators state that Strouble then drove to Lambert’s parents’ home in Crete Township. When Patrick Forde opened the door, she began firing from the porch while entering the residence, striking him multiple times. When Stacy Forde came downstairs, she was also shot.
Following the shootings, Strouble fled to her home in St. John, Indiana, where she later confessed to a family member. Police responded and took her into custody after she exited the residence and handed over a firearm equipped with a suppressor.
Authorities confirmed the weapon recovered matched the one used in the killings.
Investigators also determined that Strouble had purchased the firearm in December 2025 and had ongoing tensions with Lambert and his family related to custody of their children.
Strouble was charged with nine counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths.
