Born and raised in Salem, Oregon, Shelby carried the warmth and determination of his hometown throughout his life, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Shelby began his professional journey as a Steamfitter Apprentice at UA Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 469 on August 10, 2018, where he honed his skills with diligence and precision.
Recognized for his expertise and commitment to his craft, he advanced to become a Journeyman Pipe Fitter on November 15, 2023. Shelby’s work ethic and dedication to his trade reflected both his professionalism and his pride in contributing to projects that would stand the test of time.
An alumnus of Sprague High School, Shelby attended from 2011 to 2013, where he developed the foundation of discipline and perseverance that guided his career. Beyond his professional achievements, Shelby was deeply loved by his family and cherished by his close relationships.
He is survived by his father, Garth Lewelling; mother, Weird Wendy; and grandfather, Ron Kline. Since September 2025, he had been in a meaningful relationship that brought him great joy.
