The tragic incident occurred at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, at the intersection of Leesburg Pike and Blue Ridge Mountain Road in the Bluemont area of Loudoun County. According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, the crash involved a commercial motor vehicle equipped with a snowplow and salt spreader and a pickup truck. Juan, who was operating the commercial vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. An occupant of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
