Ronald Milton Shooting News: Prominent St. Louis BBQ Owner Ronald Milton Killed in Ferguson Shooting

The St. Louis community is reeling after the senseless and fatal shooting of beloved local barbecue entrepreneur 41-year-old Ronald Milton on Sunday evening.

According to the Ferguson Police Department, officers responded at approximately 6:26 p.m. on April 19, 2026, to a reported shooting in the parking lot of the 10900 block of New Halls Ferry Road. When officers arrived, they discovered three individuals suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

An adult male victim was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency care but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Two adult female victims were also taken to area hospitals, where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation by law enforcement indicates that an unknown suspect in a vehicle fired shots into a crowd near a food truck in the parking lot, then fled the scene in the same vehicle.

In response to the tragedy, local business owners have joined forces to offer a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the immediate arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting. Community leaders say the violence has left residents heartbroken and outraged, particularly given Milton’s prominent role in the area.

Ronald Milton, a loving father and respected member of the St. Louis community, was widely admired for his warm personality and delicious barbecue served from his food truck on Halls Ferry Road near I-270. His untimely death has sent shockwaves through the community.

Officials are urging anyone who may have witnessed erratic driving, captured a license plate number, or has any information about the suspect(s) to come forward. Tips can make a vital difference in holding those responsible accountable and helping ensure community safety.
