According to Virginia State Police, the crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. on I-64 eastbound near Hampton Roads Center Parkway and involved multiple vehicles in a violent chain-reaction collision.

Investigators say a Chevrolet pickup truck changing lanes struck a Chevrolet SUV, causing the SUV to hit a jersey wall before being struck again by a Toyota Camry. All three vehicles came to rest in the roadway following the initial impact.

Authorities report that Freddy, who was driving the Camry, exited his vehicle after the crash. Moments later, while he was outside his vehicle, both he and the Camry were struck by an Infiniti, which then also collided with a Jeep SUV.

Despite emergency response efforts, Freddy A. Villaman was pronounced deceased at the scene from his injuries. His sudden and tragic passing has left his family and loved ones devastated, struggling to accept how quickly an ordinary night turned into an irreversible loss.

At just 20 years old, Freddy was in the early stages of adulthood, a time filled with hope, plans, and the promise of a future that now will never be fulfilled. His loss has left an emptiness that words cannot fully express and a grief that weighs heavily on all who knew him.

The driver of the Chevrolet SUV, 34-year-old Medina Roberson, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Officials confirmed Roberson was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The driver of the Jeep was not injured.

State police have charged 23-year-old Trinity Hall of Lanexa with making an unsafe lane change. Additionally, 39-year-old Dehn Baker of Hampton, the driver of the Infiniti, has been charged with reckless driving.

As the investigation continues, those who loved Freddy are left holding onto memories—his presence, his laughter, and the moments that now carry even greater meaning in his absence.

Freddy A. Villaman will be remembered with love and sorrow. Though his life was taken far too soon, his memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew him
