Missing in Seconds: The Disappearance of 5-Year-Old Dulce Maria Alavez from Bridgeton City Park Remains Unsolved

She was just at the park. Then she was gone.
Dulce Maria Alavez was only 5 years old when she disappeared on September 16, 2019, from Bridgeton City Park in Bridgeton, New Jersey.
She had been playing on the swings with her 3-year-old brother.
Her mother was nearby in a parked car, helping another child with homework.
When she went to check on them…
Dulce was gone.
Her little brother was still there — crying. Alone.
No one saw exactly what happened.
But a witness later reported seeing a man near the playground around that time. He was described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, possibly between 5’6” and 5’8”, with a thin build and wearing orange sneakers. A red van was also mentioned in the area.
Police searched the park, the surrounding woods, and nearby neighborhoods.
Nothing.
No trace of Dulce was ever found.
Investigators believe this was a crime of opportunity — someone saw a moment and took it.
Dulce has not been seen since.
Years later, the case remains unsolved. No arrests. No confirmed sightings.
Age-progressed images have been released showing what she may look like today.
She would be older now. But still out there somewhere.
If you know anything — even something small — it matters.
