UPDATE: WANTED SHOOTING SUSPECT APPREHENDED FOLLOWING CRIME STOPPERS TIP
Authorities in East Tennessee have made two arrests following a tip that led officers to a wanted suspect connected to a recent shooting.
Suspect Located and Arrested
Officers with the Community Engagement Response Team acted on information submitted through East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers, locating Laron Revels at an apartment on River Willow Way.
Revels was taken into custody without incident. He had been wanted in connection with a March 25 shooting in the 2100 block of Mohawk Avenue.
Charges Related to Shooting
Authorities say Revels was facing charges of:
Aggravated assault
Reckless endangerment
These charges stem from a shooting incident that prompted an active investigation and search for the suspect.
Second Arrest at Scene
While taking Revels into custody, officers also encountered another individual inside the apartment, identified as 23-year-old Dominique Terry.
Police say Terry was found in possession of a stolen handgun. He was also arrested at the scene without any resistance.
