Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that left two people dead Monday afternoon at the Cameron Crossing Apartments, located at 1600 Meadow Terrace off Mooty Bridge Road.
Law enforcement officers and emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene following reports of gunfire. Erin Hackley of the Troup County Coroner’s Office confirmed that two individuals were pronounced dead as a result of the shooting.
The victims have been identified by sources as Jakhala Marshay Moss and Jamarcus Kennedy. At this time, authorities have not released additional official details regarding the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
Police have not announced any arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing as officers work to determine what led to the deadly incident.
