Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives have identified a woman who died following a hit-and-run crash earlier this week.
Authorities say 61-year-old Mishell Laurine Warner died at Memorial Regional Hospital after deputies found her lying in the roadway around 6:45 a.m. Monday near Barry Road and Hallandale Beach Boulevard.
According to investigators, Warner was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Hallandale Beach Boulevard. Deputies noted that she was not in a designated crosswalk at the time of the crash. The driver involved fled the scene and has not yet been located.
BSO traffic homicide detectives are actively investigating the incident and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver. Authorities have announced a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and prosecution in the case.
