As former pastor and Pastor Emeritus of Bellevue Baptist Church, Steve Gaines dedicated his life to preaching the Gospel, guiding his congregation, and strengthening the spiritual lives of those around him. His leadership was marked by conviction, compassion, and a deep commitment to serving others. Through his sermons, teachings, and personal connections, he inspired many to grow in faith and to live with purpose.
Beyond the pulpit, Pastor Gaines was known as a mentor and encourager—someone who invested deeply in people. Whether offering guidance to fellow pastors or support to members of his church, he carried a servant’s heart in all that he did. Family, friends, and members of the community will gather to honor and celebrate his life on Sunday, March 22, with visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. in the Worship Center at Bellevue Baptist Church. This time of remembrance will serve as an opportunity to reflect on his life, his ministry, and the countless lives he impacted.
