The Meadowville and Birr communities are mourning the loss of Michael Hogan, who passed away peacefully on 16th March 2026, surrounded by his loving family and cared for by the dedicated staff at The Mater Hospital after a long illness bravely borne.
Michael was predeceased by his father, Tommy Hogan, and his parents-in-law, Paddy and Maura McLoughlin. His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of his family and friends, who remember him for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
He will be deeply missed by his heartbroken wife Mary, his beloved daughters Tracy and Claire, and his cherished grandsons Lochlan and Caolan. Sons-in-law Mark and Ronan, his mother Mary, brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends also mourn his passing. Michael’s legacy of love, strength, and generosity will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
Michael’s repose will be at Boyd’s Funeral Home, Birr (R42YF75), on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., providing an opportunity for friends and community members to pay their respects. His Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brendan’s Church, Birr, followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.
