The Murder of Sadeek Clark-Harrison
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — November 22, 2020
This case was shared with The Vivid Faces of the Vanished by the mother of Sadeek Clark-Harrison, who continues to search for justice for her son’s still-unsolved murder.
Sadeek Clark-Harrison was born on June 24, 2008.
He was only 12 years old when his life was taken inside his own home in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia.
During the early morning hours of November 22, 2020, around 3:00 a.m., Sadeek was at home on the 5000 block of Ditman Street with his grandmother and his 10-year-old sister.
Then someone came to the front door.
There was a knock.
Moments later, the person outside called Sadeek by name.
As Sadeek walked toward the door to answer it, a gunshot was fired through the crescent-shaped glass window in the front door. The bullet struck him in the head and face, and he collapsed inside the house.
Sadeek Clark-Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators later recovered a 9mm shell casing from the porch. In December 2020, police released surveillance video showing two individuals running from the area, but they have never been identified.
Sadeek’s mother returned home shortly after the shooting. What she encountered that night has remained with her ever since.
“My son was still breathing,” she said. “The police didn’t take him to the hospital. They pulled me away from my baby while I was doing CPR and said I was disturbing a crime scene. Then a detective asked me what time I started CPR after his officers stopped me.”
Five years later, the pain is still just as real.
“It’s been five years, and I still don’t have closure. Every day I ask — what about Sadeek?”
Those who knew Sadeek describe him as a kind and respectful child who often helped neighbors and volunteered with local churches. His family says people in the community lovingly called him a “king.”
Because the shooter called Sadeek’s name before firing, his family believes the attack may have been intentional. Authorities initially stated they did not think Sadeek was the intended target, but the circumstances have left many unanswered questions.
As of late 2025, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved.
A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
