With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, the community of Grove City, Minnesota is mourning the tragic loss of Eben Laidlaw, 22, who died following a devastating two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Meeker County, Minnesota.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the fatal collision occurred just before 2:00 a.m. along Minnesota State Highway 24 at 620th Avenue. Authorities reported that Laidlaw was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu westbound on the highway when it collided with an eastbound 2004 Ford F-150.
The pickup truck was driven by Joseph Johnson, 22, of Litchfield, Minnesota. The crash caused severe damage to both vehicles and immediately prompted a large emergency response from local first responders.
Both drivers were transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. Tragically, despite the efforts of doctors and medical staff, Eben Laidlaw succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the crash. Johnson reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
