A popular local pub in Fall River is asking for the public’s help after a decorative gnome was reportedly taken from the establishment.
St. James Irish Pub shared a photo of a woman they say was involved in the incident, stating that the individual allegedly removed the gnome from the property. The pub says the item, which had been part of the venue’s décor, went missing during business hours and was later noticed by staff.
According to the pub’s statement, the gnome holds sentimental value to the establishment and has been a recognizable part of the bar’s atmosphere for customers and regulars. Staff members say they are hopeful the situation can be resolved simply by having the item returned.
The business has asked the woman pictured to come forward and bring the gnome back, emphasizing that their main goal is to recover the decorative piece. They also encouraged anyone who may recognize the individual to help pass along the message.
The post quickly drew attention from local residents and patrons of the pub, many of whom expressed support for the business and joked about the unusual nature of the situation while hoping the gnome finds its way home.
As of now, the pub says they are simply asking for the gnome to be returned and have not indicated whether they plan to pursue further action if it is not.
