Cleveland Woman Arrested in Shocking Case Involving Two Young Girls Found in Suitcases
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland authorities have arrested 28-year-old Aliyah Henderson in connection with the tragic deaths of two young girls discovered in suitcases buried in a field. Henderson faces charges of murder and child endangerment and is currently held at Cuyahoga County Jail.
The investigation began after a passerby discovered two suitcases in shallow holes, prompting police to deploy drones, take measurements, and photograph the scene. Cleveland police confirmed the victims were half-sisters, believed to be between 8.5–13 years old and 10.5–14 years old. Officials noted there were no matching missing children reports in the area.
Authorities executed a search warrant near East 162nd Street and Midland Avenue, where neighbors said Henderson resided. Investigators are using local, state, and federal resources to uncover more details, including reviewing nearby surveillance footage.
Phillip Donaldson, who found the suitcases while walking his dog, said he noticed disturbed ground in the field days prior. Police are urging residents and businesses with security cameras to come forward with any footage that could assist in the ongoing investigation.
This case has sent shockwaves through Cleveland, with law enforcement emphasizing the importance of community cooperation as the investigation continues.
