According to his family, Waylon’s small intestine was donated to a 9-year-old girl suffering from an extremely rare condition. Doctors reportedly shared that it was the first time in 10 years they had seen a match like this, highlighting just how extraordinary the donation was.
In addition, a 2-year-old boy received Waylon’s liver, while a baby boy under one year old was given his heart. Through these life-saving transplants, Waylon saved three children and gave their families a second chance at life.
His mother shared that despite the overwhelming pain, knowing her son became a hero through organ donation has brought comfort during an incredibly dark time.
