Honolulu Police Department Charges 36-Year-Old Man in Kapolei Shooting Incident
A 36-year-old man accused of involvement in a shooting in Kapolei on Friday, Feb. 27, has been formally charged, according to the Honolulu Police Department.
Authorities say officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area and discovered a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel treated the individual at the scene before transporting them to a nearby hospital. Officials have not publicly released the victim’s condition or identity.
Investigators allege the incident stemmed from a confrontation that escalated into violence. Detectives gathered evidence at the scene, interviewed witnesses, and later identified the suspect, leading to his arrest. Police have not disclosed whether the suspect and victim knew each other.
