Florida Woman Charged After Allegedly Stabbing Daughter’s Boyfriend
On February 23, 2026, officers responded to the 6200 block of 108th Avenue North in Pinellas Park, Florida, following reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police located two individuals suffering from stab wounds and cuts.
The victims were identified as 23-year-old Eric Smith and 25-year-old Kyrsten Bleattler.
According to investigators, 54-year-old Sandra Kegley allegedly attacked her daughter’s boyfriend, Smith, with a knife. Authorities said Bleattler intervened in an attempt to stop the attack and was also injured during the altercation.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital. Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Kegley was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Police have not released a motive for the attack, and the investigation remains ongoing.
