The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that claimed two lives Sunday evening in Morrow County.
According to troopers, the collision occurred at approximately 6:56 p.m. on County Road 25 near State Route 61. Preliminary findings indicate that a Jeep traveling eastbound crossed the center line and was struck by a westbound pickup truck.
The driver of the Jeep, 27-year-old Skylar Beverage of Mount Gilead, Ohio, was transported to a hospital, where He later died from his injuries. A 10-year-old passenger in the Jeep was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities stated that alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
