On August 7, 2016 at approximately 4:00 a.m., police say officers responded to a reported aggravated robbery at the Valero gas station located at 1243 Lamar Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee.
The victim told police he had just left Raiford’s Club downtown when he met two women who offered him a ride home. According to investigators, instead of taking him home, the women drove him to the gas station and asked him to purchase gas.
When the victim told them his debit card had declined, both women allegedly demanded his belongings. He refused.
Police said the passenger exited the vehicle, walked to the driver’s rear side armed with a box cutter, and cut the victim on his left leg, causing a large laceration. During the incident, the suspects took the victim’s debit card and cellphone before fleeing the scene after he exited the vehicle.
Investigators later obtained bank photos showing two women matching the suspects’ descriptions using the victim’s debit card just before 5:00 a.m. that same morning.
On August 31, 2016, police received a Crime Stoppers tip identifying 35-year-old Cardrevia Gray as one of the suspects. On September 1, 2016, the victim positively identified Gray as one of the women involved in the robbery. A warrant was issued for her arrest on September 3, 2016.
On February 19, 2026, Gray was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. Her bond has been set at $100,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court on February 23.
