From the Desk of the Eastman Police Chief:
If you Commit a crime in Eastman, you better prepare to face the consequences. There have been way too many shootings happening lately all over the Country. Know that if you want to commit a major crime in Eastman we will work until you are caught. We will work with all of our Law enforcement Partners until you are caught. We will work with our District Attorney and the courts to see that you are punished. This senseless violence has to stop.
On Sunday February 8th 2026 we had an occupied house that got shot at, 24 shell casings were found in the roadway. The Residence got hit 7 times. The residence was on Ward St down from 1st Ave. By the Grace of God there were no reported injuries from this shooting. Our Investigator and Patrol worked tirelessly on this case to Establish Probable Cause for an arrest. Through their diligent work we were able to take warrants on two subjects on Friday February 13th. These subjects were arrested on Saturday February 14th with the assistance of the Dodge County Sheriff’s office. We also worked with our DJJ partners in the community to help solve this case and would like to recognize their Dept.
Joshua Devine of Eastman Age 18 was arrested for:
Aggravated Assault 3 counts
Criminal Damage to Property in the First Degree
Possession of a Firearm during a Crime
Discharge of a Firearm near a Highway
Obstruction of an Officer
Juvenile Of Eastman Age 17 was Arrested for:
Aggravated Assault 3 counts
Criminal Damage to Property in the First Degree
Possession of a Firearm during a Crime
Discharge of a Firearm near a Highway
