Paty Ortiz and Genry Ortiz Car Accident, Santa Clarita – A married couple from the Santa Clarita Valley, were killed in a violent car crash in the Saugus area late Friday night, authorities confirmed, marking one of the deadliest local traffic incidents in recent months.

The fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Newhall Ranch Road and Bouquet Canyon Road, where multiple vehicles were involved. Sheriff’s officials said the couple was traveling in an SUV when it was struck by another vehicle, forcing it into additional traffic and causing catastrophic damage.

Both Paty and Genry Ortiz were pronounced dead at the scene. Their adult daughter, who was also inside the vehicle at the time of the crash, survived and was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries. Her current condition has not been publicly released.

Law enforcement officials stated that a suspect driver was detained at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence. The investigation remains ongoing, and no formal charges have been announced as authorities continue to reconstruct the events leading up to the crash.
