ROANOKE, Va. — A deadly shooting rocked Northwest Roanoke on Sunday morning, leaving two men dead and prompting an active homicide investigation, according to the Roanoke Police Department.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 9:18 a.m. to the 2000 block of Carroll Avenue NW after receiving reports of a vehicle occupied by two men who had suffered gunshot wounds. When police arrived on scene, both individuals were found dead inside the car. Authorities have confirmed the case is being treated as a double homicide.
Police secured the area and remained on scene for several hours as detectives canvassed the neighborhood, collected evidence, and interviewed potential witnesses.
