According to the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 5:35 p.m. to the 3600 block of Lovers Lane after receiving reports of a motorcycle crash. When authorities arrived, they located Boyles as the lone rider and sole occupant involved in the collision. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary findings and witness statements indicate Boyles was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the motorcycle. The vehicle reportedly left its path and collided with a pipe fence, resulting in fatal injuries.
