Despite medical intervention, Corrigan later died from his injuries.

Police have confirmed that a 22-year-old man from Fort Worth, Texas, identified as Christian Bryant, was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with murder. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Berea Municipal Court.
In statements documented in the police report, Bryant allegedly claimed that Corrigan had a knife; however, investigators have not confirmed whether any weapon was recovered or whether Corrigan posed a threat at the time of the shooting.
