The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that occurred on Saturday, January 31, 2026, on Route 66 near milepost 11.
Deputies responded around 11:45 a.m. after receiving reports that a motorcycle had left the roadway and the operator had been ejected. Medical personnel arrived on scene and rendered aid to the rider, who was later flown to a Las Vegas hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as Allen Wayne Hunt, 62, of Lake Havasu City. Investigators confirmed that Hunt was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Preliminary findings indicate that speed and impairment are not believed to be factors, though the investigation remains ongoing.
