Police have identified the woman found dead inside a Niagara Falls apartment earlier this week as 37-year-old Jessica Emery, according to authorities.
The investigation began on April 20, 2026, when Niagara Falls patrol officers were dispatched shortly after 11 a.m. to an apartment at Niagara Towers for a welfare check. Upon entering the residence on the 11th floor, officers discovered Emery deceased inside her apartment.
Following the discovery, members of the Niagara Falls Police Criminal Investigation Division and the Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene and took over the case. Investigators have since confirmed the death is being treated as suspicious and is being actively investigated as a homicide.
Authorities have not released details regarding the cause of death, nor have they indicated whether any suspects have been identified. Police say the investigation remains in its early stages as detectives continue to gather evidence, review information, and speak with potential witnesses.
