According to the Keene Police Department, Wold was struck by a northbound 2002 Kenworth tractor-trailer near Maple Avenue at approximately 8:28 p.m. The truck was driven by 22-year-old Cameron Stephenson of Marlborough, N.H., and was hauling a load of logs at the time of the collision.
Emergency responders arrived quickly, but Wold suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials say she was located in the travel lane of Route 12 when she was struck. The circumstances surrounding why she was in the roadway remain under active investigation.
