The Plattsburgh community is mourning the sudden and heartbreaking loss of 42-year-old Benjamin Perron, who was found deceased early Thursday morning.
According to the Plattsburgh City Police Department, officers were dispatched shortly after 6 a.m. after a report of an unresponsive person lying in a corner lot yard at the intersection of McKinley Avenue and South Peru Street. Upon arrival, officers located Perron at the scene, where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators confirmed that Perron’s family has been notified of his passing. A post-mortem examination has been scheduled in order to determine the official cause of death.
Police have stated there is no indication of foul play at this time and emphasized that the situation appears to be isolated. Officials also noted there is no cause for public concern, and there were no immediate signs of criminal activity discovered at the scene.
