According to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office, Meador was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 4:13 p.m. following a single-vehicle motorcycle collision near 511 Meeting Street. Authorities confirmed the crash occurred on the I-26 westbound ramp near the Septima P. Clark Parkway (the Crosstown).

Investigators say Meador was traveling on a motorcycle when he lost control while on the ramp, striking a barrier wall. The impact caused him to be thrown from the overpass, falling into a parking lot below. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officials have not yet released an official cause of death beyond the severe injuries sustained in the crash. No additional information has been confirmed regarding what may have caused Meador to lose control, and the incident remains under active investigation by local authorities.

Following the crash, a portion of Septima P. Clark Parkway was closed for approximately two hours as investigators worked the scene, documented evidence, and cleared the roadway. Traffic was later restored once the investigation allowed it.
