The Schertz Police Department reported that John “Beau” Stein, 32, was found deceased on April 1, 2026, following a missing person report filed on March 31.
Stein was located in a wooded area north of the 17,600 block of Lookout Road in Comal County. Authorities have notified next of kin, and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death remains ongoing.
The search for Stein involved assistance from TEXSAR (Texas Search and Rescue), the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Selma Police Department. Law enforcement officials thanked these agencies for their support during the search effort.
The Schertz Police Department extended their condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Stein during this difficult time.
