A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder following the death of a woman found inside a Joshua home on Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Texas Rangers, identified the suspect as Noe Reyes, 40, who is now in custody in connection with the death of Patricia Roman, 40.
Deputies were dispatched shortly before 3 p.m. to a residence in the 4000 block of Dillard Court after receiving a 911 call reporting an unresponsive female. When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they discovered Roman inside the home. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators quickly detained Reyes shortly after the discovery. Following further investigation and an interview with detectives, authorities formally charged him with murder in connection with Roman’s death. As of now, a bond has not been set.
Officials have not yet released a motive for the killing or the specific cause of death, noting that the case remains an active and ongoing investigation. Authorities have not disclosed additional details surrounding the events leading up to the incident.
