It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Will Hansen, a much-loved junior member of our club. Will was an exceptional young man whose presence left a lasting impact on teammates, coaches, and friends. As a talented athlete, he brought dedication, energy, and determination to every training session and game. His passion for water polo, combined with his strong competitive spirit, made him a valued and respected member of the team.

He had a way of bringing people together, creating a positive and supportive environment wherever he went. His enthusiasm and character made him a cherished part of the Barras family, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A funeral service to celebrate Will’s life will be held on Thursday, 2 April at 10:00 a.m. at Churchie School – Morris Hall.
This will be followed by a wake at the Norman Park Bowls Club. All members of the community are warmly invited to attend, pay their respects, and support Will’s family and one another during this difficult time. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Will’s parents, family, teammates, and close friends. As we grieve this loss, we encourage everyone to look out for one another and draw strength from the unity of our club. Will Hansen will always remain a valued and remembered part of UQWPC.
