A 31-year-old transgender from Colombia who entered the country illegally got a plea deal this week that means no more time behind bars after admitting to (graping) a 14-year-old boy inside a Manhattan bathroom.
Nicol Alexandra Contreras-Suarez, also known as Nicol Suarez, pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree rape in Manhattan Supreme Court. Under the agreement, he’ll get a sentence of six months, time he already served while locked up awaiting trial.
The alleged attack happened on February 11, 2025, at a bodega in East Harlem right across from Thomas Jefferson Park. Contreras-Suarez allegedly followed the boy into the bathroom and SA’d him there. The teen got out and flagged down people nearby, who called the police. She was arrested the next day.
Court records and police sources show he was wanted in Massachusetts on charges including robbery, prostitution and weapons offenses at the time of the arrest. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had a detainer on her too.
ICE has not commented publicly on the latest developments. Contreras-Suarez remains in custody for now.
