Four people were shot this afternoon in Wilmington, Delaware, in a tragic act of violence that has left a community searching for answers.
The shooting happened around 2:20 p.m. in the area of West 7th Street and North Adams Street. Police responded to reports of gunfire and arrived to find multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency crews rushed all four individuals to the hospital.
Two young men, just 19 and 21 years old, later died from their injuries. The other two victims, a man and a woman, remain in critical condition as doctors continue to fight to save their lives.
As of now, no arrests have been announced and investigators are still working to determine exactly what led up to the shooting. The scene was heavily secured as detectives gathered evidence and spoke with witnesses in hopes of identifying those responsible.
