Teacher Pleads Guilty to Relationship with 10th Grader.

A 28-year-old English teacher at a Columbus, OH charter school admitted in court to having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy who was in one of her 10th-grade classes.
The relationship went on for several months, according to what the teen told police. It included kissing, touching, and thousands of text messages where the two said they loved each other. Investigators found hundreds of calls and those messages on the boy’s phone.
Everything came out on April 2, 2025, when the student’s aunt, who was his guardian, spotted them in Daboubi’s car outside her house on Salado Creek Drive. The school put her on leave right away and later let her go, saying they fully cooperated with investigators.
Daboubi now heads to sentencing, where she could get up to 18 months in prison. Court plans include five years of community control, counseling, giving up her teaching license, community service, and registering as a sex offender.
