Shelly R. Ogden Car Accident: The Community and Loved Ones Mourn the Heartbreaking Loss of Shelly R. Ogden

With deep sorrow, the Mobile County community mourns the tragic and untimely passing of Shelly R. Ogden, 54, of Fort Walton Beach, who was killed in a head-on collision on Monday, March 16, 2026, along Alabama 158 near the 3-mile marker, approximately five miles west of Semmes.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Shelly was a passenger in a 2022 Kia Sportage when it collided head-on with a 2016 Toyota Sienna around 12:30 p.m. The driver of the Kia, along with the driver and a passenger in the Toyota, sustained injuries and were transported to area hospitals for medical treatment. Shelly was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shelly R. Ogden is remembered by family, friends, and the community as a kind, caring, and cherished individual whose presence brought warmth and joy to those around her. Her sudden and tragic death has left an unfillable void in the hearts of her loved ones.

Though her life was cut far too short, the memories of Shelly’s compassion, laughter, and the meaningful moments shared with family and friends will continue to live on. The community grieves her loss while holding on to the cherished moments she created.
