According to authorities, officers with the Belleville Police Department responded at approximately 5:22 a.m. to reports of an unconscious man on the side of the road near Illinois Route 161 and Sullivan Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered Shawn, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
