Chirinos-Banegas was riding his 2018 Kawasaki northbound when a 2012 Nissan Juke, waiting at a stop sign on Worth Street, turned left directly into his path. The collision happened in the middle of the intersection, and the force of impact was so severe that Chirinos-Banegas was pronounced dead at the scene.
