According to FHP, the incident took place at approximately 6:35 p.m. on Tracer Trail. The UTV, traveling westward on the property, lost control for reasons still under investigation and overturned onto its left side. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle also carried an 18-year-old passenger, who was fortunately uninjured. FHP noted that the passenger’s quick escape from harm underscores the unpredictable nature of UTV accidents, where even experienced riders can face severe consequences.

While the investigation is ongoing, authorities have reminded the public that safety precautions such as wearing seat belts, helmets, and following proper UTV operating procedures are critical to preventing accidents. Even on private property, UTVs can pose significant risks due to speed, terrain, and vehicle handling characteristics.

This tragic incident has left the local community mourning the loss of the 43-year-old man, whose life was cut short in a sudden and preventable accident. Families and friends are being offered support during this difficult time, and FHP continues to work with emergency services to ensure a thorough review of the circumstances surrounding the crash.
