DUI Arrest in Ventura County: CHP Officers Take Spears into Custody After Alleged Erratic Driving
Officers with the California Highway Patrol arrested a woman identified as Spears Wednesday night in Ventura County on suspicion of driving under the influence.
According to authorities, the arrest occurred during a traffic stop after officers observed a vehicle being driven in a manner that raised concerns about the driver’s condition. Investigators say the vehicle was reportedly swerving and driving erratically along a roadway before officers intervened.
Following the stop, officers conducted field sobriety tests and determined there was probable cause to arrest Spears on suspicion of DUI. She was taken into custody and transported for further processing, where additional testing was expected to determine her blood alcohol level.
The incident comes just a few months after Spears was reportedly seen driving erratically following a night out, which had previously drawn attention and raised safety concerns among witnesses.
