Active Shooting Investigation at Gas Station on US 165 as Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office Assists Ball Police Department
Authorities are actively investigating a shooting that occurred late this morning at a gas station along U.S. Highway 165.
According to officials, the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office (RPSO) was contacted by the Ball Police Department at approximately 11:30 a.m. to assist with the incident. Multiple units responded to the scene, including patrol deputies, members of the Crime Suppression Unit, detectives, and the Crime Scene Unit.
Law enforcement quickly secured the area surrounding the gas station while investigators began collecting evidence and speaking with potential witnesses. Crime scene technicians are currently processing the location as authorities work to determine exactly what led to the shooting.
