Tragic Rollover Crash Claims Life of Erin Bingham in Salt Lake City
The Salt Lake City area is mourning the loss of Erin Bingham, 45, of South Ogden, who died Sunday afternoon following a rollover crash on Interstate 15.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the accident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes near 3300 South. Bingham was driving a Dodge Charger with a male passenger when both were ejected from the vehicle. Authorities reported that neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.
Bingham was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Her passenger survived with non-life-threatening injuries and is recovering in the hospital.
Investigators believe a second vehicle, a blue Honda Civic, may have been involved. Preliminary reports indicate a collision between Bingham’s Charger and the Civic caused the rollover. While the Civic has been located, authorities have not released details about its driver.
Friends, family, and the South Ogden community are mourning Bingham’s sudden passing, remembering her as a valued and cherished member of the community. The investigation into this deadly crash is ongoing.
