Florida Man Chased Door-to-Door Salesman And Sh*t Him Until He Ran Out Of Bullets
A Florida man is accused of chasing a door-to-door AT&T salesman through a townhouse community and shooting him repeatedly until he emptied his g*n, then telling witnesses he had “no remorse,” according to deputies.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says 38-year-old Reginald McGee was arrested after the deadly confrontation in Brandon, a suburb east of Tampa.
Investigators say the victim was canvassing the neighborhood with two coworkers when McGee and his girlfriend confronted the team outside their home and a verbal dispute broke out.
According to an arrest affidavit, McGee allegedly punched the salesman in the face, then pulled out a handgun and opened fire as the man tried to run, chasing him between buildings while continuing to shoot. Witnesses told detectives the victim collapsed in the grass after being hit multiple times.
Deputies allege McGee later admitted he kept firing until he ran out of bullets and said he did not feel bad about what happened. The salesman was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead; authorities have identified him only as an adult male working for an AT&T contractor.
McGee is now facing charges including first-degree m*rder with a firearm and aggravated assault, court records show.
Legal experts in Florida say his defense team may try to invoke the state’s self-defense or “stand your ground” laws, but prosecutors are likely to point to the alleged chase and number of shots fired as evidence this was not a justified use of force.
The case remains under investigation.
There’s no indication they knew each other or had any prior history.
