GREENVILLE, Miss.- The Greenville Police Department is currently investigating a Murder and another shooting where the victim was the father of the alleged suspect. The first shooting incident occurred Saturday, Feb. 22, around 1am in the 2400 block of East Alexander. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the body of 24yr old Zhaire Green of Greenville, lying in the roadway. Witnesses on scene stated that the suspect to the shooting was known as Joseph Norris, Jr., (29) of Greenville. According to those witnesses, there was a dispute that had taken place between Green and Norris, which led to Norris pulling a gun and firing shots at Green, striking him in the upper body. Green was pronounced dead on scene by the Washington County Coroner’s Office. Norris fled to his Father’s residence in the 500 block of Union Street, where an altercation ensued between Norris and his Father.
