A young adult was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting on a street corner in south Toledo on Wednesday night, according to police. Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area and located the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Emergency medical personnel provided treatment at the scene before transporting the individual to a local hospital. Authorities said the injuries are not considered life-threatening, and the victim is expected to recover.
Police established a perimeter and began collecting evidence while detectives interviewed witnesses in the surrounding neighborhood. No arrests have been announced, and investigators have not yet released information about a suspect or possible motive.
