Remains of Missing 17-Year-Old Identified; 51-Year-Old Man Held on Suspicion of Murder
On February 13, 2026, deputies with the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside the Federal Bureau of Investigation, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2800 block of Harlequin Court in Salton City, California, in connection with the disappearance and death investigation of a missing teenager. During the operation, authorities say 51-year-old Abraham Feinbloom was observed jumping a fence in what appeared to be an attempt to evade law enforcement. He was apprehended and later booked into the Imperial County Jail on suspicion of murder and resisting a peace officer. He is currently being held without bail.
The victim has been identified as 17-year-old T’Neya Tovar.
On December 1, 2025, Tovar was reported missing from her home in Hemet, California.
On December 21, authorities discovered a leg in the Vista Del Mar area that showed signs of decomposition, according to a previous sheriff’s office release. Law enforcement stated that a rapid DNA comparison was conducted using a swab provided by Tovar’s mother, resulting in a positive match identifying the remains as the missing juvenile reported out of Riverside County.
Investigators have not yet publicly released a cause or manner of death, and as of Tuesday, formal charges have not been filed by the district attorney’s office. Feinbloom maintains the presumption of innocence.
In a statement, Feinbloom’s former defense attorney confirmed she previously represented him in an unrelated matter in which charges were dismissed after prosecutors indicated they were unable to proceed. She also emphasized that he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and stated that determinations regarding death and cause should be made by the appropriate authorities upon completion of the investigation.
The FBI continues to request that anyone with information related to this case contact law enforcement. A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the resolution of the investigation.
