Update: Investigators have arrested 30-year-old Tierra Kirby in connection w/last night’s shooting at the Wash World from 5820 N. Main St.

Officers were initially dispatched to a nearby convenience store and found the female victim with an upper-body wound.
She remains hospitalized in serious condition.
It was later determined that the shooting happened at the laundromat. It’s believed the shooting stemmed from an altercation.
Kirby is charged w/Assault & Battery of a High & Aggravated Nature & Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. She is housed at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
Officers recovered a weapon from the scene, which will be processed for evidence.
All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
